High Tatra, Poland 06-2012

After a longer time, I finally got back to caving in beginning June. Together with the Clare Caving Club, I visited the Polish Tatras and their caves for one week.

Following an invitation from Speleoklub Tatrzanski, we could not only visit some polish caves, but experience their (caving-) culture.
Based in Zakopane, the polish outdoor- capital, we explored not only the karst-area and the Tatra National Park, but also one of the hot spring resorts nearby.
We always hat during our cave trip obligatory permission for entering caves in the Tarta National Park
During our cave trips we had, in addition to the mandatory permission of the National Park, always nice people from the resident Speleoclub with us, which led us to and through their alpine caves.
For a complete trip report visit the Clare Caving Club Website.
